Bookmarks to Match our Books:
These bookmarks are inspired by Victorian-era ABC books. During the nineteenth century, books were illustrated by wood engravings. The illustrations on these bookmarks come from that period, including Alfred Edmund Brehm's "Tierleben" (Life of Animals) first published in the 1860's, The Pictorial Museum of Animated Nature by Charles Knight circa 1844, The Riverside Natural History edited by John Sterling Kingsley published in 1888, and Johnson's Natural History by S.C. Goodrich for Alvin J. Johnson and Sons in 1879.
